Brewed in collaboration with Kung Lee Sugarcane Juice (公利真料竹蔗水 gung1 lei6 zan1 liu6 zuk1 ze3 seoi2), Sugarcane Honeysuckle Lager pays homage to one of Hong Kong’s favourite summertime drinks. Ben Chui, fourth generation co-owner at Kung Lee, still uses the traditional method of removing the skin and pre-boiling the sugarcane stalks before juicing, making for a far fresher flavour profile. We have used rice, malted barley, Kung Lee’s sugarcane juice, honeysuckle and chrysanthemum to create an extra crisp lager with a nice earthy sweetness and subtle floral tea notes, making it a perfect cooler for the heat and humidity of Hong Kong.
